The Dogs of Rangerwood Kennels

Ranger:
At thirteen, Ranger is retired and spends his days sleeping and dreaming of flushing grouse and retrieving geese. He is my best friend and I miss being able to take him into the field, as we had some great hunts together.

Drake:
At 4 years old Drake is the cornerstone of our breeding program. He is mild mannered in the house and has unmatched drive in the feild. he was extremely easy to train, a trait he passes to many of his pups. He is one of the top flushers in the nation on the Bird Dog Challenge Circuits. He has won back to back National Dog of the Year titles in 2007 and 2008.
Along with that he was a National Puppy Champion and has many top 10 finishes at Super Major Events. He can be seen on the Outdoor Channels Bird Dog Challenge TV. Drake is a bird finding machine...

Reba:
This 3 year old female rivals her brother Drake with two National Championships and a National Puppy of the Year title. At only 58lbs Reba can hunt all day and she is a close working dog. She is a pleasure to hunt behind and regularly guides hunts at a local hunt club.

Star:
She is the calmest, most affectionate Lab you'll ever meet. As a pup Star did well in the puppy division winning the Western Illinois State Puppy Title and placing at other state level events. She now works at Hunters Point Hunt Club guiding pheasant hunts were she gets rave reviews, not only for abilities in the field, but for calmness in the club house.

Huck:
Huck is a 1 year old, blocky 75lb. male that lives to retrieve anything from dummies to ducks. He was sired by a 2X NAFC FC AFC Champion and we look for big things from him in the future.

Izzy:
Izzy is a great all around Labrador. She loves to retrieve, play with kids or just go for a leisurely hunt. She has a great hunting background and does well on upland birds. She is also the mother to some of our best pups.

Tilly:
This is Rangerwoods newest addition. This little female was whelped by our own Izzy and sired by Drake. Tilly started competing and won her first title at 7 months old. She now has two State puppy titles and was the 2008 PHU National Puppy of the Year. She has a ton of drive in the field and is a pleasure to have in the house.

Bella:
Bella is Tilly's littermate and is owned by Hunters Point Hunt Club where she has been guiding pheasant hunts since she was 7 months old. She is extremely calm for a pup, but look out if she sees you with a gun or hunting vest on.
